Hey! So Glad You're Here.
I'm an animal-loving, music and book enthusiast who just happens to also be a writer, photographer, graphic designer, and editor. While working towards my bachelor's degree from Franklin College, I had the pleasure of working with awesome people for two publications—The Franklin News and TheStatehouseFile.com. After graduation, I'll be starting as the Regional Editor for the Corydon Democrat and Clarion News.

So why journalism?

At 6 years old, I liked to roam my grandparents’ house in the dark carrying a big, red, metal flashlight and shouting “CSI!”—a semi-public demonstration of my utter fascination with the people who help solve crime.
As I grew older, it was a field I thought about entering until I realized I couldn’t handle blood and that my fascination was really with figuring out how things work, uncovering what makes people tick and sharing those findings with others.

That’s how I stumbled into journalism. It allows me to continue to shine a metaphorical flashlight on so many different people and topics while also giving me an outlet to provide a public service—a feeling that will never grow old. I am thrilled to have the privilege to do what I love each and every day.
